It's That time again!!!

Every year at 11 november the Carnaval starts. 
And as every year, also this year was the opening in Maastricht.
So it's time to get ready to Carnaval . . . . .

Time for a last check
and then
up to the Vrijthof 
where the festival is.

The entrance is free,
but there always people . . .
Lot's of fun
and than the long wait for the three days Carnaval begins . . . .

Fair from above.

I've probably mentioned it before, but I have a soft spot for the fair. The colours, the sounds, the smells, everything, I don't know what it is about, but fair, yes, I love that.  Not to sit in the bumper cars, not to eat cotton candy, but just to stroll around the fair, that's what it's all about for me.  And today I got the chance to view the fair from above.  So enjoy! Stay happy and healthy and enjoy the nice things in life.

The Carnaval is over

The carnival is over. . . And because we like it and are still in the Low Country, we celebrate it, so on to Maastricht. And how busy it was, much busier than expected because the weather was not good.  But Carnival in the rain remains, maybe a little wetter than planned Carnival. Stay healthy and optimistic, even when the Carnaval is over . . .
