For all the girls I . . . Image heavy!

Carnaval in Maastricht is different, it's about showing how beautiful, remarkable, colourful your outfit is. Maybe it's just me but I noticed that many girls take the change to look even more beautiful. You want to be a princess, you will be a princess. You want to be a movie star, an animal, angel, witch, palm reader, giraffe, you will be. Only for three days, but you will be and many people will see you at your utmost. So why not take that change and enjoy, others and yourself . . . .















And what if you want to be a girl, but you aren't? No problem!
 Yes, but what if I'm a beautiful princess and I want to find my "beautiful" prince?

Yeah, but what when you ain't human and want to be a girl?
Possible, definitely possible!
Yes, Carnaval is like magic!

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
