From the hip?

I like to take streetshots and whenever it's possible I try to ask if it's allright to take a shot. Asking by showing the camera or really asking and anything in between with my most charming smile.

 Amsterdam, a free city? Not so much anymore, this place is only allowed for residents.
 I like the dresses they're wearing.
But then I heard of shooting from the hip, never did that, never tried it because I thought it would make me feel sneaky.But I gave it a try and took one shoot. 


Still don't feel happy with that so this will probably my last shot from the hip . . .

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Stay healthy and optimistic, you will feel a lot better doing so . . .

Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
