Bad weather in Spain

Not only rain, lots of rain, way too much rain, but also hail and quite a lot of hail. Nothing special for the Netherlands but we are now in southern Spain. At least two more days this weather and then sun again. We already miss that.

 And the house is not completely watertight. The strong wind, the heavy showers and hail is just a bit too much. With plastic we try to keep things as dry as possible. Internet falls out more than it is on. And when it works it slow. The weather is very extreme, especially for this part.

 We try to help each other. Share plastic garbage bags to prevent leaks or to keep the bed dry. Every now and then it is dry, and we drink tea or coffee. Sometimes we find new leaks. We will continue for a while. And as promised by the weather channel, Sunday the weather will be sunny and dry. But that takes another two and a half days. . .

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
