Beggars

The weather is getting better, more sun and an even more nice temperature. With the sun also the beggars seem to come. I think it's not a nice view to see someone begging and seeing someone sleeping on the street is, for me, a shame of our society.
Yes, I take sometimes pictures of them. Why? Don't know exactly, but they are a part of the street life. Some don't want their photo taken, some don't care, some want money. My impression is that some of them might have mental problems, some are addicted and some others made me feel like they act like beggars, just for the money. Beggar as a profession?

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Stay healthy and optimistic, you will feel a lot better doing so . . .

Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
