The celebration of San Anton

Every year they celebrate San Anton in this part of Alhaurin el Grande. People take animals, mostly dogs, to bless them by the priest.
First there is a Holy Mass, but it's a small church so many of the owners wait outside together with their animal.

After the Holy Mass the blessing of the animals take part.

When all the animals are blessed there is a procession, through the narrow streets, with the Statue of San Anton carried by women.

And of course, there is free paella for every volunteer who made this all possible . . . .
So no photo of that as we didn't want to disturb them . . .
