Shopping again . . .

Image
Hopefully this is one of the last times I have to go shopping on my own. There is hope that the rules will be changed, so let's hope for the best. It might be clear that shopping is definitely not one of my most favorite things to kill time, even if it's COVID-19 time. To make it all a bit more pleasant for me I took some (2) shots and here they are. I f you think they're looking funny, strange, wrong or whatever, remember that I downloaded some programs to develop photos and having them for a short time on my computer why not give them a try? Keep healthy and smiling!

Shopping in COVID-19 days.

Image
We've decided to go a bit more often shopping. It's only allowed to go with one person, so no one more is allowed, also not on the backseat. We thought, and many others, that this was oké, but it seems we were all wrong.  So there were not many people on the street and the only cars I saw  were all heading to the supermarket or the drugstore.    And in all there is just one person. Shopping is no problem, there is enough to find in the shop. You have to wait till they let you in, then wash your hands, wear the plastic gloves they give you and a piece of paper with some soap on it to clean the basket.  Water bottles are needed here because the supplied water is not very tasteful. I still can't park the car next to the house. During the rainfalls, and we had lots of them, the road became even more muddy and got some really big holes. So my shoes are full of mud. I had to put an extra pair in the car, so one set for the muddy road and one set for shopping. I n

drink from the pool in full flight

Image
Interesting habit these birds have made their own. Using the pool as an enormous drinking water supply. They drink and fly like Speedy Gonzales on his best days . . . . If the weather stays fine I will try to take some more. They only come ones a day between 16:00 and 16:30. Sometimes they just fly over the pool and sometimes they drink in flight. That is what I want to catch . . . Stay healthy

This time the words are in the photo, so let's keep this short. I saw this in Antequera, Spain Stay healthy!

Little Things are important.

Image
Times like these when there is much time to think, and we hear about big problems, big changes after we have defeated the big virus, let not forget the little things like a child that smiles, the sun that shines, the flower that grows and blooms, the love we have. So, here is a tribute to the little things. Take care and stay healthy

(W)Here I live, . . . now in infrared

Image
As a black and white lover I never experimented with infra red. As far as I can remember all the experience is one roll of film, many, many  years ago. But in these digital days, with many time to kill as we all know why I suppose, it's easy to give it a try. So, here we go. Stay healthy and "busy"

Caminito del Rey

Image
Before the Corona troubles we visited and walked through the Caminito del Rey. Despite my serious back troubles I managed to take some photos. Even my shoes had some heavy troubles, in case you missed this, take a look at.  https://jostakesphotos.blogspot.com/2020/02/caminito-del-rey-or-end-of-my-shoes.html But I managed to walk all the way and it were the last steps I did,  in this shoes. Weeks later my toes still hurt. But here are the pictures. Stay healthy

Mercadona just before Eastern Corona series, stopped numbering.

Image
We wanted to do some shopping for Eastern. Yesterday every shop was closed so we thought we better get there early. When we came there we saw that many people must have thought that too and we had to stay in line, with distance from each other. People are mostly relaxed here and seem to take the situation as it is.  When there are too many people in the shop you'll have to wait till the guard let you in. When in you have to take and use plastic gloves and some spray for extra protection. We heard that after eastern more people are allowed to go to work again. We will see what that means, but for now it sounds like good news. Stay healthy!

(Not yet) on the wall. Corona part VIII

Image
Yes, Corona is keeping us at home. So what to do. Going out, in the garden as much as possible. Enjoying the weather if the weather is enjoyable. Taking pictures as usual. As usual? Not exactly, not much people here. So why not take the house and garden as a museum, full with pictures, paintings, statues, but all are hidden. More like a treasure room, but you have to find the treasures. If you find one you frame it and separate it from the rest. Here are the results, as the jury of the songfestival used to say . . . They won't say it this year as the songfestival is cancelled due to COVID-19.  Hope you don't mind all these photos of the pool, I never had a house with a pool. I still don't have a house with a pool, but I'm living in one right no, "thanks" to Corona  . . . Looking at the pictures I'm wondering why I never did this before? Stay healthy!

Serious about COVID-19 in Spain

Image
We have to visit a doctor, but in COVID-19 time in Spain that isn't so easy. You are allowed to use your car for visiting a doctor or hospital but you need a permit. The doctor will then send you a confirmation stating that the complaint is medically bad enough to schedule a visit. You will then receive a message with the time and place of the appointment. The information that indicates which doctor made this decision is also included. You must show this if you are checked by the police.  And so it happened.  The delay lasted so long that the doctor called where we were staying. Fortunately, we were almost at the agreed point by then. Annoying all those checks but unfortunately necessary. According to the latest reports, only two COVID-19 cases have been reported so far, and fortunately there are still no deaths from regretting this virus in the city. We have been twice visiting, not COVID-19 related, the doctor and luckily everything is alright now.  I took some shots in the

Flower Power

Image
After the heavy rains seems it's time for a change in weather. Anyway we wouldn't mind if it really happens. So let take it day by day and yes, today we had a little rain and a big sun! and at her best, the sun was as yellow as these flowers. Stay healthy!

Shots from the city in COVID-19 time

Image
Something went wrong with our shopping list, so we had to go back. Took these shots from our parked car. We are now allowed to have one other person in the car, no restrictions as before, so two persons max in the car, the passenger have to sit in the back. Before you could take one passenger but only restricted, the person had to be old, disabled, or need to go to the hospital. Let's hope this means there are expectations for an ending of the COVID-19. Mouth masks on mopeds. No Semana Santa this year, very unfortunate. Pharmacies, opticians, gas stations and shops that sell food are allowed to be open. Stay healthy!

Just to kill some time: Find the Frog

Image
Just as said in the title, only to kill some time, find the frog! It isn't that hard . . .

Supermercado and Corona

Image
Our food was almost all eten. so we have to do some shopping. Not many people outside only near the supermercado, which was not very busy, luckily. They keep announcing that there was enough available in the shop so no need for panic and advising not to hoard. I couldn't resist and took some quick shots while parking the car.  most shops are closed due to the measures taken by the Spanish government.  many people wear mouth masks There are now two official reports of people infected with the COVID-19 virus here. Please stay healthy!
