What to (Corona) do?

 Corona will not go away in the Netherlands, anyway not quickly enough. So more “ not allowed to do” things. So more in house time, so what to do.

Garden: not really necessary but change it in a less work intensive place. Okay, we’re going to do it, no hurry, no timetable but just to keep ourselves busy with something else than watching TV were all the talk shows are about COVID.



My Brompton: oh I like that bike but lately I didn’t used it. To be honest, lately means several years. But I could never sell it. The idea, the way to handle, the look, great! So I keep it and now I’m riding it again. Need a good cleaning job, new tires and what to do with all the updates and changes I made. Bring it back to original or keep it like it was, or change even more? So checking websites to see what has changed over the years and what to do.

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
