Looking back at. . . . February

 Looking back at February. A lot happened, we hat cold, lots of snow, ice. But we also had sunny, warm days. All in one month. A years climate in one month. We still fighting that virus, so we have a curfew, selections for the government coming up so lots of long boring talks filled with promises, and guess what made the most impression on me?


Believe it or not, but it was the fact that there was no Carnaval this year!



Let's hope the best for the upcoming Carnaval and stay healthy and optimistic, the world needs it!

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Stay healthy and optimistic, you will feel a lot better doing so . . .

Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
