The day before

 One more night's sleep and then,. . . . . . . . . the terraces may be reopened. 



COVID has been overcome?




Not yet, the care is filling, planned operations are canceled, but the terraces are allowed to open. 



Well, open, from 12:00 to 18:00 and then also one day after King's Day, a public holiday in the Netherlands.





Not everyone has been vaccinated yet, the I.C.'s are getting full, but the terraces are opening. 



Probably has nothing at all to do with the government being discredited again. The umpteenth "I can't remember it like that".



Anyway, the weather is slowly getting better, the vaccinations are getting faster, so who knows how long this COVID drama will last.


And I found that little birds can have great shadows.

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. The Carnaval is over

The carnival is over. . . And because we like it and are still in the Low Country, we celebrate it, so on to Maastricht. And how busy it was, much busier than expected because the weather was not good.  But Carnival in the rain remains, maybe a little wetter than planned Carnival. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
