Mierlo’s Black




We went for what will now almost be the last asparagus and being there asked about the black van Mierlo. I can well imagine that not everyone immediately knows what it is about. The black van Mierlo is a cherry variety that is very popular in this region, yes indeed, Mierlo and surroundings. Would have liked to have added a picture of it but they were not there yet.  



They have to come to the trees covered with nets, but they are not there yet. That's why a picture of the trees, nice too, I hope.

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
