Amsterdam.

Because we are still in the Low Country, where even the Prime Minister thinks it's enough now, a visit to the capital seemed like a nice outing, moreover we could immediately visit a friend. And yes, Amsterdam is busy, the tourists are back and came in large numbers. But it still smells of banned substances in some places, probably belongs to Amsterdam forever.

The housing shortage is still very high and rents in the private sector are unlikely. Now we are not looking for a place to live in Amsterdam, but for many people it remains an unfulfilled wish, certainly to find one in the centre of the swinging city, as they call it in the sixties.

In the centre we saw these boots or ships, don't really know the difference. When talking we learned that if you have an old boat you can ask the city if it fits in the collection and then you are allowed to hire a place there. From the outside the boat must look like in the old days, the inside is free to your choice. And the boat must be ready to sail. We really liked this possibility, only missing is a capable boot.

Another disadvantage could well be the total lack of boat knowledge, the cold winters, having to walk bent over in the living areas and no parking space, in short, dreaming is not forbidden. Moreover, we want to spend the coming winter in a sunny country again, so for the time being, say probably never, a boat for us in Amsterdam.

But they look great!!!

Stay healthy and optimistic, life can be beautiful! (even on a boat in Amsterdam)
