On the road again, again . . .

Yes, we are on our way to one of the sunny countries in Europe again. 

Not to the country we visited last time, but to a neighboring country. 

The route is long so we have overnight stays. One of these and the last before we reach our promised land is Cáceres. 

You might assume it will be sunny there, but it rains and if it doesn't rain it pours and sometimes it pours in a very stormy way, in short it is a bit outside our expectations. 

But despite that, Cáceres is definitely worth it, but make sure you take an umbrella with you and you might have the same luck as we when we ran into a free concert.

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
