Cycling



More or less by chance we saw that a cycling race was going to take place near where we live now, so why not, put on our walking shoes and hit the road.

It turned out to be an individual time trial that was part of a multi-day race. Quite nice to see, especially when the sun shines and provides pleasantly warm weather.

Supporters came from different countries but the enthusiasm was universal. Maybe it's true that sports unite!








Stay happy, healthy and optimistic! We all need it!

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
