The Bucket Garden.

Image
We have made a bucket garden near the office.     A bucket garden, what might that be?  It's a garden in a bucket. We did some shopping and got some seeds for free at the supermarket. We use to give them to children asking for them at the entrance of the supermarket (they are very popular that is the seeds not the children). But we had some left, not children but seeds, and decided to make our own garden. So we got a big bucket, more a big flowerpot and after the seeds were big enough we put them in the bucket. Put some signs so that we would know what it is that is, hopefully, growing there. And today we eat the first result it was radish or radijs as we call it. It was tasteful, not to bitter and we enjoyed it! There is more too look for in the near future. We have carrot, tomatoes and cucumber. And some sunflowers, simply because we like the beautiful flowers. Now it's time to get back to more serious business because we can't live from this (

Work, Sun and Music.

Image
Work, Sun, Music!. Don't want to complain, but the weather is beautiful. Sun is shining and was it me or was it calling " Go outside!". Had an appointment in 's-Hertogenbosch.  Finished my tea,           took the car, roof open, much better than the train. A nice way of enjoying the sunny weather. Once there I noticed that there was a festival, Jazz in DukeTown ('s-Hertogenbosch could be translated as Dukes wood). So I decided to enjoy the festival, the sun, the atmosphere, have a nice meal, will be late home and still have the possibility to work the whole evening. Or get an early night rest. And tomorrow, we will see tomorrow . . . . for those who wants to know, all photo's taken with the X-Pro1 and the 2.4 60mm

Office work

Image
Lots of office works on a rainy day. No chances to go out. Not the rain, but the amount of work is the big problem. For rain there is an umbrella or a raincoat.  For too much work there is the temporary agency worker. But this job I had to do myself. Then I saw the flowers falling on my desk. Took my camera for these shots . . . Later that day I went out for a walk with an umbrella and a raincoat . . .

Back in The Hague

Image
A while a go I was in The Hague. One of the big cities in the Netherlands and it's here where our government settles. There were times that once a week or even more often,  one or more of the unions were demonstrating here. There is a special place for these activities, called Malieveld. This time there was a demonstration organised by the FNV, the biggest union. It was Labour day and they took this possibility to ask for better pension and real jobs (no flex). It was also about normal wages for those people who can't fully participate in regular jobs. Who can be against? Must be someone, cause there was a need for a demonstration. Every year on the third tuesday in september, our king opens the gouverment year in The hague.  He's a king so that's why he uses a golden coach It can be fun too! For young and old. this is   Lodewijk Asscher, leader of the Labour Party (PvdA). They join the last gover
