Sometimes you don't need words . . . Sometimes you just feel it . . . . Sometimes when you feel young again . . . . Maybe, just maybe, . . . . Spring is in the air!

Carnaval in Maastricht is different, it's about showing how beautiful, remarkable, colourful your outfit is. Maybe it's just me but I noticed that many girls take the change to look even more beautiful. You want to be a princess, you will be a princess. You want to be a movie star, an animal, angel, witch, palm reader, giraffe, you will be. Only for three days, but you will be and many people will see you at your utmost. So why not take that change and enjoy, others and yourself . . . . And what if you want to be a girl, but you aren't? No problem!   Yes, but what if I'm a beautiful princess and I want to find my "beautiful" prince? Yeah, but what when you ain't human and want to be a girl? Possible, definitely possible! Yes, Carnaval is like magic!

Every year we have a " Boekenweek". They organise this week to keep people reading and to learn new readers the joy of reading. If you buy for a certain amount of money books you get a special book free. Every year another writer is asked to write that book that they give free with the books you bought. And there is an extra bonus because in that book is also a free train ticket on the last Sunday of the "Boekenweek".The last day, you can go by train were ever you want as long as you don't cross the border. That means full trains, many people with books or Ereaders in the train. And when the weather is remarkable better than forecast it's crowded in the train. So when I had to go to Maastricht and planned long ago that date I now knowI better had chosen for another day. Maastricht is one of the oldest cities we have. And as many old cities it's surrounded by walls. A part of that wall has fallen down, so I thought why not go there and take a look.
