Second and Third stop

So far so good. We are in France and tomorrow we hope to drive through Belgium back to the Netherlands. We had absolutely no problems at the France border when coming from Spain. No one asked or checked anything.
The roads were quite so no problems. Gas stations are open so that’s fine too. Right now we are in Chartres, sightseeing we will do another time, hopefully without Covid-19. 

 Last night we found a salad bar that was open for take away and it really tasted good. Right now we ordered pizza which will be delivered. They will also bring a little breakfast so tomorrow we can leave early for the last part of the trip.

 Is there is safe parking place? Yes, just around the corner.

After the renovation

  yes, we did our best, but now they are on the roof, our solar panels.  The bathroom has also been renovated in between, so it was time to get out for a while.  Not too far, just a walk in nature and then also shoot a heron. Not really, of course, so no gun was involved, but with a camera.  Oh yes, and we will also go to a sunny country this year when it winters here, but more about that later. Gifts, gifts.

  Apparently we are now in a period where we give a lot of presents. The period in which we received a lot of presents seems to be behind us.  Not that it's a bad thing, rather the opposite. So it turns out to be true, for us at least, that giving is better than taking.  The presents are for the little ones, the children. Wonderful to see how happy they can be, how intensely they enjoy unpacking and the surprise when the gift is unwrapped in front of them. The absolute highlight appears to be the permission to bring a present when it is time to go to sleep. Stay healthy and optimistic, the world can't do without it!
